Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City! Formerly known as Saigon, this vibrant city is the largest in Vietnam and a key hub for commerce, finance, and culture. On arrival, our local tour guide will greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel, where you can drop off your luggage and unwind after your journey.
In the afternoon, begin your exploration with a visit to the War Remnants Museum—an emotional yet insightful showcase of Vietnam's wartime history. Next, explore the Reunification Palace, once the official residence of the South Vietnamese president and a historic site that marked the end of the Vietnam War. Continue your journey through the heart of the city, passing landmarks like City Hall, the Opera House, the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral (view from outside), and the elegant Central Post Office. Wrap up your day at Ben Thanh Market, where you can browse local crafts, souvenirs, and traditional treats. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be picked up from District 1 between 07:30-08:00 am. Escape the city's hustle and head toward My Tho, a charming riverside town along the Mekong River. Begin with a visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda, a peaceful Buddhist site dating back to the 19th century.
Board a sampan boat and cruise through the river, exploring the famous islands named Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. Stop at Unicorn Island to stroll along village paths, see tropical fruit orchards, enjoy folk music performed by locals, and taste fresh fruits. Then, ride a hand-rowed sampan through scenic Thoi Son canal, visit a local family business, a bee farm, and enjoy honey tea and coconut candy.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then relax or go cycling around Tan Thach village to meet locals and experience Mekong Delta life. Hammocks are available for those who prefer to rest. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon. Overnight stay in the city.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Your guide will pick you up from District 1 around 07:30–08:00 am. Head out for a fascinating morning visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a vast underground network that played a critical role during the war. These tunnels once served as living quarters, hospitals, weapon storage, and command centers.
Begin with a short documentary about the tunnel's construction, then experience the tunnels yourself by crawling through a small section to feel the atmosphere. If you wish, you can try firing an M15, AK-47, or carbine rifle at the National Defense Sports Shooting Range (optional, extra cost). Guided by professionals, it’s a thrilling opportunity to experience what life was like for soldiers.
Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Spend the rest of your day at leisure or enjoy shopping around the city. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time until check-out. Then, meet your driver (no guide) who will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight back home.
