  • Welcome to Bhutan! After you arrive at Paro International Airport, we’ll drive you to your hotel in Thimphu. Check in, then enjoy a relaxed day. You may visit:Royal Botanical Garden, to see many native plants in peaceful surroundings
  • Ludrong Memorial Garden, built in honor of Ludrong Dorji and his work in Bhutanese culture
  • In the evening, return to your hotel and rest overnight.

  • Today, explore Thimphu’s main attractions:
  • National Memorial Chorten, a monument for Bhutan’s 3rd King
  • Buddha Dordenma Statue (177 ft tall) at Kuenselphodrang
  • Motithang Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal
  • Tashichho Dzong, a majestic fortress and administrative center
  • Simtokha Dzong and the Handicrafts Market, where you can see local art
  • After your day of sights, head back to your hotel for overnight stay.

  • Check out of your hotel and depart for Punakha. On the way, stop at Dochula Pass and take in sweeping mountain views. Upon arrival in Punakha:
  • Visit Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the “Temple of Fertility”
  • Explore Punakha Dzong, beautifully located where two rivers meet
  • Then check in at your hotel in Punakha and rest overnight.

  • In the morning, leave Punakha and drive to Paro. After checking in at your hotel, see the highlights of Paro:
  • Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress built to celebrate Bhutan’s victories
  • Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples
  • Return to the hotel for your overnight stay.

  • Begin your day visiting Ta Dzong (National Museum), with displays of Bhutanese art, textiles, weapons, and religious items. Next, prepare for the trek to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest).
  • You’ll walk through pine forests with fluttering prayer flags. If you prefer, you can ride a horse part of the way (extra cost). After your trek, return to your hotel and rest overnight.

  • It’s time to say farewell. After breakfast and checking out, we’ll drive you to Paro International Airport for your flight home. Safe travels!
